Remove locking pins and center stopper. Both legs stand firmly on the treads, both rails are on one side of the device.

The inner leg takes a large step to the other side. The second leg automatically follows along. The goal should be a rhythmic slide motion. By tensing the abductors and adductors, the two rails should not touch.

Bend knees for more stability.
Start braking as soon as the second leg passes the middle.
